It is with deep sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of John Edward Kessler, 64, who left his earthly home on December 6, 2025, in Jacksonville, Ala., surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 5, 1961, in Chambersburg, Pa., John was the son Elizabeth Billadeaux of Stuart, Fla., and the late Edward Kessler of Carlisle, Pa.
John dedicated his life to family and service. After serving in the US Army as a 1st Lieutenant, John had a distinguished 30-year career with the US Border Patrol. John loved hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy came from his family. He was a faithful member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by his wife, Anita Barksdale Kessler; his sons, Christopher Cauble (Chelsea) of Oxford, Ala., and Tyler Kessler of Osaka, Japan; his daughters, Kayla Kessler of Oxford, Ala., and Kendall Kessler (Vesko) of Kearneysville, W.Va.; his grandchildren, Aiden and Aspen; his sisters, Mary Kessler (Tom) of Carlisle, Pa., and Connie Kessler of Stuart, Fla. as well as numerous extended family members. John was preceded in death by eldest sister, Kathy Kessler.
