Scott Alan Swavola

Talented Drummer -

Scott Alan Swavola, age 57, of Mechanicsburg, passed away at home unexpectedly on Sunday, September 2, 2018.  Scott was born on Wednesday, May 17, 1961 in Mechanicsburg to the late Edwin Frank Swavola and Alice Catherine (Timlin) Swavola.  In addition to his parents, Scott is preceded in death by his sister, Lynne Alice Swavola.

Scott’s survivors include his brother, Robert “Bob” Swavola of Mechanicsburg; and his niece, Katherine Swavola of Carlisle.

Scott graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1979.  He was currently working for Fry Communications, Inc. in Mechanicsburg as a press operator for the past 30 years.  Scott was a former member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg.  He was the drummer for the classic rock band, Yesterday’s News.  Scott’s passions in life were Corvettes, fishing on the Juniata River, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Scott’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Cremation was private.
