Feb. 4, 1967 — April 4, 2011
Our dear mother, sister and friend Francine abruptly left us on Monday, April 4. She loved life and all its gifts, yet she took her own life and left us alone to wonder why.
She had worked as a hairdresser in Corvallis.
Always quick to laugh with a bright smile, she enjoyed hiking on mountain trails, babbling brooks, ocean waves, camping, horses, cats, dogs, owls, crossword puzzles, relaxing in her backyard on a hot summer’s day, hammocks and wildflowers. She was the life in our parties, the icing on our cake, and the sunshine in our days. We wonder why she left us so soon.
She left behind her two beautiful daughters, Danielle and Renae of Salem; sisters Shelly Belair of California, and Eileen Kimball of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother Brian Hagey of Zigzag; and partner Ken Bailey of Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel, who died of Alzheimer’s disease in December 2010, and her father, Gale Kimball, who died in 1977.
Our hearts are broken; our tears have not run dry. We will miss you for the rest of our days.
Farewell, dear mother, sister, friend and confidante. Your beauty is everlasting, and so you shall remain.
Condolences can be sent to 2822 S.E. Park Place, Corvallis, OR 97333.
