
Nancy (Barnes) Dettbarn, of Lockport, NY passed away on August 31st at the Elderwood Rehab Facility at the age of 70. She was born in Lockport on March 15, 1952; the daughter of Virginia (Wilson) and Wilson Barnes Jr. Nancy worked as a property manager for Sibley Management and Ashley Management managing the properties in Rochester and WNY areas. She managed Tudor Lane and Park Lane Apartments before retiring. She loved to trace family history and was an avid genealogy buff, tracing her family back to John Alden. She loved to travel in her camper. She was a longtime parishioner at All Saint's Catholic Church, where she volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister, and taught first grade church school at St., Patrick's Parish. She was a loving and caring person who was still young at heart, she will be truly missed by all.
Nancy is survived by her husband William. They were married on June 7, 1974. She is also survived by her son Jason (Melisa) of Kenmore, NY and a daughter Kari (Aaron) Wright of Lockport; five grandchildren, brother Wilson (Christine) Barnes III of Lockport; brothers-in-law Gary and Scott; sisters-in-law Carol (Chris) Dettbarn, Patricia Wrobel, Judy Wroblewski and several nieces and nephews. She was predecerased by her brothers-in-law Ronnie, Leslie and sisters-in-law Charlene Hoffman and Barb McKee.
Calling hours were held on September 6th fat the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, Lockport. Funeral servies were hald at 10 AM at All Saints Parish Church. Interment was at the Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Save A Pet or St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
