
Diane Ruth, Age 57, died May 27, 2009 after a long courageous battle of breast cancer at home. She was surrounded by many loved ones. She was born on December 4, 1951, daughter of the late Donald R. Cook and her mother, Martha K. Cook. Diane was very instrumental in helping her husband, Timothy, create and sustain a successful medical pain practice in Williamsville, NY. She supported Timothy as an executive secretary throughout his medical career. Her husband, Dr. Timothy L. Speciale, has been practicing as an Osteopathic Physician for the past 17 1/2 years. Diane's great passion was her devotion to her family. She always yearned to be a mom, and one of the greatest joys of her life was the birth of her two children. Katie is now a 4th grade elementary teacher living in Cincinnati, OH with her husband, Matthew Stewart, who is a regional sales manager for OhmartVega. Scott, in 2009, was a pharmacy student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Pharmacy in Erie, PA. At the time of Diane's death, he was engaged to be married to Leah Sauer of Orchard Park, NY and planned to be married in August 2010. One of Diane's great passions was studying the Bible. She was an active member of the Chapel at Crosspoint in Getzville, NY. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Timothy Lawrence Speciale; her daughter, Kathleen Margaret and her son-in-law, Matthew Stewart; her son, Scott Timothy Speciale and his fiance, Leah Danielle Sauer; her mother, Martha K. Cook; sister, Wendy Cook; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at the Chapel at Crosspoint, Getzville, NY.
