Kirk of Oakfield, NY, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 26, 2018.  He was  born in Medina on October 31, 1952 and was the son of Alice (Miller) Snyder and the late Harold Snyder.

Kirk graduated from Medina High School in 1970 and attended the Ohio Technical Institute. On July 19, 1980, he married the former Ruth Carr and together they raised two children. Kirk worked for numerous companies, including, ITT, Verizon and currently was working for Pomeroy IT Solution of Kentucky. He was a former Den Leader for Cub Scouts and Little League Coach in Oakfield. Kirk enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan.

Besides his mother, Kirk was survived by his wife (Ruth) of 37 years, two sons, Matthew Snyder of Kentucky and Aaron (Fiancée Shawna Halas) Snyder of Buffalo, siblings, Kenneth (Sandra) Snyder of Medina, Karen (John) Croce of SelKirk, NY, and also, many nieces and nephews.  Besides his father, Kirk was predeceased by a brother, Karl Snyder.

A Funeral Service was held  at the High Point Community Church in Corfu, NY, with Pastor Rev. Robert Dean officiating. Burial was at the Boxwood Cemetery in Medina.

In lieu of flowers, donations were  made in Kirk’s name to: Troop #35 Boy Scout Summer Camp Fund.
