Holly loved life. Her classmates were important to her. She had no enemies and her favorite years were her highshool years.
Holly was employed as a receptionist for four years at Canadian Propane in Lloydminster and eight years at Corlac Industries. She was honored for her work as a volunteer and assistant coach for hockey and fastball. Holly juggled cooking pies, soups and hamburgers at the arena for several years. Her work and personality never went unrecognized. Her co-workers continue to remember her on her birthday with a celebration.
Holly lost her life in a traffic accident April 6, 2004. She had two sons then aged 13 and 16. Her eldest son was killed August 31, 2007, also in a traffic accident, within a few miles of where Holly died. Her youngest son is in Grade 12 in Alberta. The attached picture is one of the many friends that attended the memorial funeral held for Holly. Her smile and laughter will be remembered by everyone who knew her.

This morning I dug out the cookbook that Holly's mom created in her memory. The best part of the book for me is the beaming photo of Holly on its front cover. When I think of Holly, I see her whole face lit up in a smile. I remember her being on the sports teams and being in the centre of wherever the fun was. She was so warm and genuine, a friend to all. Her spirit will remain in my heart and I am a better person for having known her.
