Class of 78 Twenty Year Reunion
|
Lani Egger (Knaus)
I remember Sandy coming to the 10 year reunion very pregnant but still looking beautiful. At the 20 year reunion I remember how proud Sandy was of her children. They were at the family picnic and ball game and she was videotaping memories. You could tell that reconnecting with old friends meant alot to her.Jeanette Hermus (Kostiuk)
I think of Sandy often. I can close my eyes and still see her in the canoe on our outdoor ed trips. Her smile and sense of humor will stay with me always. I keep a picture of her where I will see it once in awhile and I say out loud...Hi Sandy, how are things up there? I lost another girlfriend almost exactly a year after Sandy. She too was a beautiful woman like Sandy. Woman of courage and beauty who were great role models for their children. I really miss them both. My highschool years were soooo much fun because of friends like Sandy and all of my classmates. Thanks to all.jeanette

Unbelievable is my reaction. I am so sorry for this family to have to continue on without their loving beautiful mother, wife, and daughter. Pulled away by death, such a ruthless enemy which knows no bounds of age, station in life, or gender. We never expect that we will have to deal with such things, and when we have to, it changes us. The death of a loved one slices thru us and takes a piece of us as though a part of our very essence, our soul, has left us entirely.
I don't exactly remember the year when Sandy moved into Brunswick School but I do remember her demeanour and charm. She was a quiet, kind, inquisitive young girl, not overbearing in any sense of the word, very likeable, agreeable, ready for an adventure in whatever the class was doing. Not imposing her opinion upon anyone, a kindred soul. Id have to say as memory serves she was just a really well behaved young lady with all the energy and charm any friend could ask for. As the years in junior high and high school went by her charm and beauty only deepened, yet, she retained her personality of early years. I honestly don't remember one incident where Sandy was at the center of a problem all those years. Like everyone else I have my memories of Sandy, and they are cherished. I look at the pictures of her family I can see her beaming as a proud parent and happy woman.
Sandy, may you live to time indefinite.
