Other than classmates.com and myspace.com these are some great searches to use to look for someone:
www.zabasearch.com and www.spock.com
You can also try here to see if any of your classmates are in jail in Michigan. :) http://www.state.mi.us/mdoc/asp/otis2.asp

Thanks again to Beth for the website. I met up with a friend and former classmate today who was one of the reasons I moved back to attend Melvindale High School. I had a great time with her and meeting her wonderful family. It didnt even feel like it had been 20 years!

Check out this video of boy scouts who are going to earn a merit badge educating woman about breast exams. It is pretty funny. Some of you guys I knew when you were 12 which makes me laugh even more to think about it. Yes Dennis, Greg, Jeff H, Darin, and Bill wherever you are, I am thinking of you! Pay attention to the kids hand gestures.

Gerry,
Those lockers got knocked over so many times, but I do remember that fight. I think that was round two of the Marty/Paul bouts. I also remember Mr. Kavorkian picking them up, one in each arm and walking them to the office.

Jen,
I can't speak for the rest of the guys, but giving a breast exam at age 12 would have been cool:)

Jen all I can say is that video freaked me out. Do you think the little boys were thinking about that ladies breast when they were moving their legs? She seemed a little too into it too. GROSS!!! What are they teaching the brownies?

On a serious note:

I know there are many who read this forum besides the ones who write on it. I want to use this forum to get this message out there to all of you.

Ladies and Guys with special ladies in their lives,
We are at the age where you may have already been told to have a mammogram if you have a family history of breast cancer. Depending on this history your doctor may have recommended one as early as 35. Even if you dont have a family history of such, you should be planning on having one at 40. You know this age is approaching quickly. I have had two and, it DOES NOT HURT as bad as all those old wimpy women say it does. Please make it a priority! You owe it to those who love you. October is breast cancer awareness month. Learn how to do a self breast exam correctly and get your mammogram. Also, educate someone you love.

Breast Cancer Facts
American Breast Cancer Association

FACT: Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women; every 3 minutes, another woman is diagnosed; every 11 minutes, another woman dies.

FACT: Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death for all women aged 35-54.

FACT: There is no certain cure for breast cancer. Despite growing use of mammography and overall advances in medical technology, the death rate has not changed over the last 20 years - approximately half of all breast cancer patients will die from their disease.

FACT: We have no idea what causes breast cancer and every woman is at risk.

FACT: 75% of new cases are diagnosed in women with no family history of breast cancer.

FACT: Although the disease is most common in women over 50, younger women, even those in their twenties, also are diagnosed with and die of breast cancer.

Jeff,

Curiosity is getting the best of me. If one had a private practice, would it be possible to screen out all the older, bigger, more hairy Rosanne Barr types?

Hey Dr. Jeff, thanks for the information. Hopefully it will get people thinking and doing.

Wyandotte Hospital has been providing free mammograms every October for years to uninsured woman regardless of their income level. This is made available through donations. Appointments are required. Call (734) 246-9601.

Steph,

Not mine either! And the husband did pick up a case of wine, but not from your house. All for the cause.

http://www.bigtattoowines.com
An excerpt from their webpage:Big Tattoo Red 2006

This wine comes from two brothers, Alex, a wine importer, and Erik, a tattoo artist, who wanted to pay homage to their mother who lost her battle with cancer. They decided to label and bottle their own wine and donate the proceeds to a good cause. With their combined talents and effort, they created Big Tattoo Red. For every bottle sold, 50 cents is donated in the name of Liliana S. Bartholomaus to local charities nationwide benefiting the communities where the wine is sold. Introduced in the Winter of 2002, sales from Big Tattoo Wines have over $1,157,000 for charity.
