Let's all take a guess at who we think Peter Griffin is.

First of all I would like to thank Beth for all your hard work to keep us all together. I have been out of the picture with all my friends from Melvindale for a long time, this website is GREAT. I have made many friends in the Marine Corps over the past 20 years, but I always think back to the friends from MHS, and wonder what everyone is up to. I hope that even after the reunion we can keep in touch with this website.

Second is anyone planning on getting together on the Friday Before the reunion? I will be coming in from Missouri, and just one night with old friends isn't enough time.

Keep me posted if anyone would like to get together for a beer or two on Friday.

I will post some pictures of me and my family this weekend, and I hope to see more of you all.

Jerry,

It's nice to find you again. Yes we (our class) can get together prior to the Reunion.

You may not recall, but I was just going over "my lunch ritual" with some co-workers. I used to go through the lunch line and buy your lunch with an extra milk, then go back through and get mine.

Jerry, it's great to hear from you! I wish I could take credit for the site. My husband has done all the work. He's definitely an honorary alumni by now!

Beth, has he asked you to stop nagging him with updates to the site...it's like he has hundreds of extended wives asking for things!!

Thanks Jason!!

What about a spot for random photos, (Album)I have a few pictures from our yearbook class that don't have anything to do with my profile and if I put up a picture of a wrestler my husband might raise his brows.

Hi Julia. Unfortunately there is no community photo gallery feature available for this site, so we cannot put up a page for people to share photos themselves. I did, however, come up with a workaround that will allow pictures to be posted, the only caveat being is that I (as the administrator) have to post them.

I just set up a new page called "MHS Photo Album" for random photos from our time at MHS. If you have any pictures that you want to share (that you did not include in your profile), please email them to me at melvindale1988@mi.rr.com. I'll post them on that page as soon as I get them. Please remember to still post pictures on your individual profiles. We'll use the new separate page (MHS Photo Album) for any other pictures you might have that don't have anything to do with your profile (or that you might not want associated with your profile).

Does anyone remember Apollo Driving School? I remember Mel-NAP had to stop offering drivers ed for a smester or two because of money. I know we had some classmates in there but I can only remember Greg Panik, Bill Gibson and Jim Simmons.

Since I only had the one year at MHS, I never had the opportunity to meet Lisa Hamilton who is now deceased. If anyone remembers her it would be nice to read some comments in the "In Memory" Section. Does anyone know her husband?

Jeanne, you and myself were in Mrs Brenamans class cracking up as usual because i had found a barbie doll leg and i was holding it up and saying "I broke my barbie dolls leg". I think that I ended up getting a swat in front of the class for it but who didnt get swats in that class?

08/23/08 12:30 PM #47

Terry Long (Grochocki)

Didn't we wait in line for those swats? Remember Willie Benson?

Hey Jerry what's with the Clifford? I don't understand. Since my parents kept me under lock and key as a kid, I sure could use a few beers Friday before the reunion. Count My wife and me in.

Hello everyone. I was pretty quiet and shy in school so I pretty much kept to myself and don't really have any stories but remember some teachers and things like Mr. Blaine. I always heard stories until I saw for myself. As a high schooler, I never did understand why something couldn't have done about him. And now as an adult, I REALLY can't understand why something couldn't have been done about him. I remember wanting to take Physics but I didn't have the pre-requsite to take it but Igot permission to take it anyway. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! Was the hardest class I have ever had. I really should have taken those other classes. Oh well, Mr. Hepner passed me with a D-. He said he passed me because even though I didn't "get it" I tried my best so he gave me credit. Good for whoever did take it and "got it". Well I have worked on the sy and quietness. I have pretty much borken out of that and am very glad I did so. It really wasn't fun being that way. Especially during the years when I shouldn't have been so. But since then I got married and have a daughter. She is the best thing I have. She is a great kid. I read some of the profiles and it seems most have a nice family and good jobs and I am very happy for you. I guess success is different to everyone and it is all relative. I do not have a great job(in fact, it will be ending in 3 weeks) but I have a home, wife and daughter. So I guess that is a success!!
I want to thank anyone that went into the military in any manner. I try and thank anyone that has done that for me.

Well as I reread this, it seemed to have maybe a slight self-pity tone and was not meant to be in anyway. Those are just some of the thought that I had and wanted to do something I would not have been vocal enough to do in the past. Congratulations to everyone that has what they want and are happy and hope for the ones that aren't quite there yet.
