Jerry, post a place you want everyone to meet Friday night on here. I am sure you will get alot of classmates to show. Just give us the when and where.

Jeneine,
I think Jennifer R is running with the Friday pre-party planning. She is going to try to see if Boomers in Allen Park will help us out. I would be doing it myself, but Missouri is a long ways away to plan a party. I look forward to seeing everyone Friday and at the Reunion.

Jerry

This is so much fun! Reading, seeing and extending email chats with everyone...Looking forward to see everyone at the reunion. Our class was different than others and I think, for the most part, we are pretty grateful for the extended friendships we have maintained over the years. And to touch base with some who we haven't spoke to in years and pick up like it was nothing is just awesome!

Hello everyone.... Well Terry was suppose to POST a reminder to everyone
There were a few people who wanted to try and get together before the reunion. There is a group of us getting together at Boomer's in Allen Park September 13th around 6:00PM.

Jeneine Elkins (Ballard)

Ya know Jerry was the one with the idea to get together the Friday before the reunion. I don't think he will be here in September...whats up with that?

Before anyone (except those who know who Julia was talking about) thinks I kissed a BK manager, I DID NOT. I would like to know which manager though!! I don't need to know who kissed this mgr.

Does anyone remember the jukebox we had at Strong?

08/26/08 10:47 PM #88

Jennifer Reddig

Hey Lisa, I went here to download the version of Java I needed for the chat room and it worked. Thanks to Chris Lazarek for giving me the idea. http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

Terry, Amanda said the jukebox is still there with the old songs still in it.

08/27/08 01:00 AM #89

Chris Lazarek

Too bad it still won't work for me.

08/27/08 11:56 AM #90

Lisa Richardson (Brewer)

Thank you Jennifer & Chris, the Java link worked for me. The chat room is up and running!!

Terry, I forgot about you working at BK. Remember all of the Mayo we used to us?? lol

Gerald Szandzik (Clifford)

Jeneine,
Sorry to say I won't be there in Septemebr, but wish I was. I will be there the night before the reunion. I hope you all have a great time on the 13th.

08/27/08 04:24 PM #92

Terry Long (Grochocki)

Lisa mayo and ketchup. I can still taste it. Leslie what the heck is wrong with me in that picture? lol

08/27/08 06:22 PM #93

Terry Long (Grochocki)

Me and Jennifer Reddig talked about getting together at Boomers on the 13th, we started asking people if they wanted to go to, Steph thought it would be easier to post it on this site instead of emailing people and asking them to join us. So whoever would like to join us on September 13th please come up there. We will be meeting up there between 6 and 7. Jerry had left a post before about meeting on the Friday before the reunion. That is something different than this.

Hey Terry,

Do you still have that Lance Parrish autographed baseball that I gave you? By the looks of your last name I would say you never got that date with him :)

08/27/08 07:24 PM #95

Terry Long (Grochocki)

Mike that is so weird you ask about the baseball. I found the baseball with the autograph and I thought "When did I get this signed by him" hahaha. It is my box with my softball trophies. NO I never hooked up Lance (but he does have a 20 yr. old son)! I have been going through pics and I have a pic of Lance's butt that I took up at Thunderbowl.

Jennifer- I hope your niece doesn't try the "slap" on her mother!!!!

Hey Terry - not sure what the heck that picture was from....but you sure look toasted!

I've been reading these posts and wow...what memories...Ms. Burke....Mr Blaine (do you remember the pencil funerals?)....I always checked papers for him too...got an A in that class and didn't do a thing, but what a nut.....funny, it makes you think our parents didn't care considering that they allowed teachers like that to teach their children--no way that would happen today. But then again, did we complain? An "A" for not doing anything? By the looks of the profiles it doesn't look like we all turned out so bad even with a drunk and a nutcase teaching us in jr high.

Stephanie Meyers (Kramer)

Leslie/Terry
I don't remember that photo either, where were we?

I have one of Terry too at Spring Break, She looks the same!!

Terry is always drunk! Some things never change even 20 years later!!

08/27/08 08:55 PM #99

Gerald Szandzik (Clifford)

Terry & Jennifer,
While you ladies are at Boomers, try to take a few pitures and post them in the MHS photo album. I miss seeing all your drunk asses. I'm sure you all will have a good time. Have a Beer for me!!!!!!!!!!

Jerry,
I will have to take the pic's.. Terry will drunk!!

For those who do not know. Mr. Mark Kavorkian passed away in 2005. He was my teacher, coach, and friend. He is still very much missed. R.I.P. Mr. Kavorkian

Dennis Barnett

I wrote a paper on Mr Kavorkian in a writing class I took. I got an A. He meant alot to me as well as many others. I remember during our Junior year he kept on me to come check out wrestling. I went to one practice and never went back. I got a whole new respect for the work that those guys had to put in.

I have a funny Mr. Blaine story. During a final exam, I scribbled every answer. He called me up to his desk after he graded my paper and said he was very disappointed with my test. He told me I only had 2 questions correct. I told him that was crap and please show me my paper. When we looked at it, I told him they were all correct. I told him I was taking shorthand with Mrs. Black and she told us to use it whenever we could. He changed my grade to an A.

08/28/08 03:32 PM #103

Lesley Barton (Zielinski)

Dennis, that is a hilarious Blaine story....I wonder how much we all impacted his mental state?

On the subject of teachers - thought you might like to know that Mr Hepner is the only teacher still at MHS. Unless, was Mr Sakey there in 88'? If so, there are two left. Mrs. Szoke was there through last year....she must have just retired.

Times have certainly changed. My kids aren't nearly as rebellious as we were back in the day....thank goodness!!
