When I think of Yvonnia, I smile...always have as the years have passed. She was not only my classmate, she was a co-worker. We worked together for years at Memphis Regional Medical Center (The Med)...aka John Gaston Hospital. All of us in that group were like sisters. Fun memories are ALL I have of her. Soft spoken with an angel voice and a beautiful smile that radiated outward. Even though we lost contact as we weaved our way through this maze called life, I never forgot her. I've thought of her often. Her presence on this earth will be missed. There's another empty spot in my heart. I looked for her and attempted to contact her via her son I found on FB, but it was too late. I found out via his FB she was gone. Too late should never be when it comes to people we care about. This is a lesson I am learning as I get older. Yvonnia Woods left a mark with me. Through her, I saw a kind and meek spirit with a heart of gold, a loving wife and a wonderful mother! It's people like her that validates goodness...R.I.P my friend.
