Abbott, Gerard J. Beloved Husband, Son, Father & Papa - Age 54 Jerry is now at peace after he passed away on Wednesday, May 6th after a 17 month battle with lung cancer. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Abbott, and grandparents. Survived by his adored mother, JoAnn and step-father, Gus Zuccaro; his loving wife, Patti; sons, Jay and Billy (Misha); daughter, Krista (Brian) Hoyland; much loved and cherished grandchildren, Paris, Cage and Hudson. Also survived by brothers, Paul (Tamara), Joe (Teresa), Steve, and sister, Mary (Randy) Anderson and many other relatives and friends. We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Rueben and staff at Mpls VA, and the Hospice of the Twin Cities, especially Linda, and Steven whose commitment to Jerry was exceptional.
