Susan “Sue” Kaye Bauer, 60, of Paola, KS passed away March 7, 2017 at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S Webster, Spring Hill, KS 66083 913-592-2244. Visitation 3:00 pm before the service at the funeral home. The family requests casual dress attire. Memorial contributions may be made to the LifeMission Church. Sue was born January 25, 1957 in Tacoma, Washington to James and Lois (Stuessy) Verage. She graduated from Menomonee Falls North High School in June of 1975. Sue married Dale T. Bauer on June 7, 1980 in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Sue worked for H. D. Lee (Lee Jeans Company) in Merriam, KS as a product engineer for 35 years. She was a member of the LifeMission Church in Olathe. She loved playing games, especially Bunco and Yahtzee. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and quilting. Sue loved spending time outdoors but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband of the home; daughter, Lauren Ashley and husband Rick Beery of Osawatomie, KS; son, Ryan Thomas and wife Heather Bauer of Wellsville, KS; mother, Lois Verage of West Bend, WI; grand children: Jaidyn, Julian and Braedyn, and also her siblings: James Verage of Hubertus, WI, David Verage of Colgate, WI and Carolyn Scholl of Eagle River, WI.
