Born October 2, 1957
Found peace after a brave struggle with brain cancer. January 4, 2003, age 45. Dearly beloved daughter of Karl H. and Waltraud Gola. Loving sister of Ralph Gola. Will be missed by Py and Jenna. Special friend of Sue, Linda and Eva. Further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Doris was a 20 year employee of Milwaukee County Zoo. Visitation was Saturday, January 11, 2003 from 12-2 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes (12875 W. Capitol Drive). Memorial Service followed at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Medical College of Wisconsin Brain Cancer research or Milwaukee Humane Society would be appreciated. CHURCH AND CHAPEL

It is really sad to learn that Doris is gone. I didn't know until now. I met her some time after we graduated and had a good long talk with her. She was trying to make a difficult decision about what to do in her life, and I never found out what she decided. She was a wonderful girl.

I'm sad to read this. Doris and I were good friends in school. People would always confuse us. we looked like we could have been sisters.
