Joe was a great friend. He moved to Menomonee Falls in 1972 and lived on the same street as John Pyeatt and I. We spent many hours playing softball in Joe’s yard and even more hours swimming in John’s pool. Joe enjoyed cars (including “Mopar Magic” with a 340 engine and 4 speed transmission), snowmobiles, motorcycles, listening to music and spending time with friends.  I periodically reflect on the time spent together and wonder what he would be doing now if still living. He was more concerned about others than himself and fun to be around. Joe awaits us in heaven; and I am thankful he died in an instant while we (his brothers John and Jerry included) were enjoying a motorcycle ride in the U.P of Michigan. Hard to believe we have all been out of high school for many more years than Joe lived….

Willie you are so correct. Joe was a very caring person and if you were lucky enough to be one of his friends that was a true gift. My Dad had a saying and it went this" If you could count your best friends on one hand you are a very lucky person" I feel that joe and you were on one hand. We all had alot of fun with joe and I know he is looking down on us and smiling. I think of him often as well and wonder where lifes path would have taken him. Joe left us way to early but he will never be forgotten.

Joe was one of the first friends that we had who passed way too early. It was so hard to comprehend at the time. I know it made me sit back & realize how things can change so quickly. I remember the fun we had together at the Starlite Outdoor. Willie, you were very lucky to know him longer & you still must have great memories of him. It does make it easier to know we will meet up with him again.
