Douglas W. Otenberger, 60, passed away January 10, 2016 at home. He was born May 31, 1955, in Chambersburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cris, the love of his life and best friend. 
Douglas is survived by his parents, Jay and Joan Smith; two sisters, Susan Martinchick, wife of Joe, and Chanda Otenberger; niece, Lauren Black, wife of Michael, nephew ,Shane Martinchick, and niece, Malory Wright, all from Chambersburg. 
Douglas was also preceded in death by his father, William Otenberger. 
Douglas began his career in Transportation at Grove Manufacturing and was most recently self-employed as a Logistics Broker with Grand Point Transportation. Doug had a great love for the outdoors which included deer hunting with his grandfather and uncle, turkey hunting with his friends, Jeff and Frank, and gardening. He enjoyed going with friends to flea markets and auctions. His favorite sports teams were the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens. Doug will be missed by his family, friends, and his dog, Kane.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 at Salem United Brethren Church at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior with Pastor Jason Bakker officiating. A viewing will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment will be held at St. Thomas Cemetery. 
Memorial contributions may be made to The Salem United Brethren Church, 4349 Letterkenny Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201; and to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA, will be handling the arrangements.
