Obituary

John E. Sollenberger, 63, Mercersburg, died May 30, 2019 at his home.
Born October 23, 1955, at Chambersburg, PA he was a son of the late Roy L. and Betty E. (Rupert) Sollenberger.
John was a 1973 graduate of James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg.  
John worked in construction in Michigan and North Dakota and as a contractor for the past 23 years in Mercersburg. He was an avid hunter. John was a member of American Legion Post 517 and Moose Lodge 1790 both of Mercersburg.
Surviving family include a son, John A. (Jennifer L.) Sollenberger, Chambersburg, a granddaughter, Caleigh R. Sollenberger, two sisters, Mary Alice (James) Eaton, Chambersburg, Ruth Ann Stevens, Shippensburg, PA, a brother, Jay R. (Bonnie) Sollenberger, Greencastle, PA and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, June 5, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM followed by a memorial service at 7:30 PM, with Pastor Harold E. Yeager officiating.
