Terry Beck

1954-1974

     Terry was 19 when a sewer ditch in which he was working collapsed on one side. Rocks and packed dirt struck him in the head fracturing his skull. Fellow workmen and Good Will Ambulance squad attendants were unable to revive him. He was partially buried in the cave-in and was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened around 2:00 P.M. in Kensington Heights, about three miles northwest of Chambersburg. He was working for Carl Flohr Construction Company.

      Terry was born November 11, 1954 in Waynesboro and was the son of Jack K. and Mary Jane Hege Beck of Mercersburg.  In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers and a sister:  Roger, Ed, and LuAnn.
