Jan Marie Burkett Smith, 54, of 146 South Second Street, Chambersburg, PA died February 17, 2010 at her home.
Born September 7, 1955 in Hagerstown, MD she was a daughter of Carol Obitts McCulloh of Mercersburg and the late Thomas Lee Burkett, Sr.
A licensed practical nurse, Jan did private duty nursing.
In addition to her mother she is survived by two sons, Travis D. Smith of McConnellsburg, PA and Andrew W. Rhodes of Chambersburg. Three sisters, Heather L. Angle and Lisa L. Sipes both of Mercersburg and Jennifer A. Bosko of Chambersburg. A brother, Thomas Lee Burkett, Jr. of Chambersburg.
A Memorial service was held on February 23, 2010 at the Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church in Greencastle, Pennsylvania with Reverend William Dick officiating. Interment followed at The Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church Cemetery.
