Shirley M. Clark, 64, of Mercersburg, died unexpectedly Monday October 15, 2018 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born October 3, 1954, at Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Crawford and Gladys Naugle Butler.
Shirley was a 1973 graduate of James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg. As a young woman she was a home health care worker. Later she was a waitress at the former Oasis Restaurant and Howard Johnson’s. Most of her life she was a home maker.
Shirley enjoyed cooking, word searches, shopping and going for rides.
Surviving are her husband, Michael J. Clark, whom she married August 10, 1974. Three sisters, Gloria Calimer and Darlene Daley both of Waynesboro, and Deborah Kauffman of Chambersburg. Shirley was preceded in death by nine siblings, Betty Barefoot, June Shaffer, Marie Rhone, Helen Baker, Ruby Bumbaugh, Crawford Butler, Jr., Harold Butler, Bill Butler and Denny Butler.
A funeral service for Shirley will be held at 2:00 PM Friday October 19, 2018 at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Pastor David Pine officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
