Ray Hourigan

Raymond Clarence Hourigan July 30, 1949 - February 8, 2025, a lifelong resident of Meriden, Ct, went home to the Lord after a brief illness. Born in Meriden, he was the son of the late Clarence and Georgianna (Allies) Hourigan.

Raymond graduated from Cental Connecticut  State University in 1971 with a degree in Business Administration, earning Dean's List honors.

Raymond had a passion for entertaining his family and friends with his talent for close-up and sleight-of-hand magic tricks. His audience often delighted in his performances, frequently exclaiming, "Do it again, please!" He also loved reading, particularly Agatha Christie novels and other murder mystery stories.

Professionally, Raymond worked as an accountant for many years at the Meriden Record-Journal and later at Marrakech Inc.

He is survived by his two sons, Michael Hourigan and his wife, Melissa, of Wethersfield, and Brian Hourigan and his fiancee, Brittney Palsa of Nashville. He is also survived by his brother, David and his wife Elaine of Newington.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bradley Home for their compassionate care of Raymond.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 20th, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
