Cheryl Lyn Murdy, 59 of Yalesville died on Tureday, September 2, 2009 at her home.

Born in Meriden on Nov 29, 1949, she was the daughter of Richard Piccirillo and the late Gwendolyn (Tooker) Piccirillo and had resided in Yalesville. She was a graduate of Platt High School and was employed by Bradley Home as a nurse, retiring after 18 years of service. She liked to go fishing, collect gemstones and spending time with her grandson.

Besides her father, she was the beloved mother to Shane Murdy of Meriden; and grandmother to Anthony Murdy of Meriden. She is also survived by one sister, Katrina Piccirillo of Meriden; and two nephews, Michael and Patrick Hayes. She was predeceased by one brother, Richard Piccirillo Jr.
