Lenore (Lee) Zavaglia Pandolfe of Hilton Head, SC and Wethersfield, CT died Tuesday, February 27th at the age of 74.

The daughter of the late Salvatore "Sam" and Marjorie "Marge" (Persio) Zavaglia, Lee was raised in Meriden, CTY. She attended Platt High School before receiving her BS in Elementary Education at Central Connecticut State University and her MS in Education at Springfield College. Later in life, she pursued a career in social work, receiving her MSW at UConn in West Hartford.

Lee had the gift of gab. She made friends everywhere she went.  She loved music, theater and traveling. In between her teaching and social work careers, she worked as a travel agent and spent many years as a stay-at-home Mom. She was a proud member of the Italian American Club of Hilton Head Island for many years and will miss all of the friends she made there.

Lee leaves behind a sister, Rae Squire and her husband, Bob of Meriden, CT, daughters Lauren Gallagher (Tim) of Walpole, MA and Anne Nelson (Andy) of Norwell, MA and six beloved grandchildren, Joey, Saoirse, Leo, Ciara, Lucy and John.

Services will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Road, Meriden, CT on Friday, March 29th at 11 a.m.
