I met James at Edgewood Jr High. I learned he lived over on Second Street. We were both misfits or thought we were, We would walk home from school together and get into some michief, We stayed triends through Cocoa and MIHS. Once he went into the service we lost touch. He loved foot ball and we would do some scrimiches at his house, I was not very athletic and neither was James at that time. I learned later what a real Hero James was after he had passed. Thank you James for your service and giving it all to save your buddies. I visited the wall in DC and James was the name I wanted to touch. He will always be with us.
I also visited "The Wall" while in D.C. I found Jim's name on the wall and I outlined it on a piece of paper. To this day, I keep that paper in my MIHS Yearbook as a momento of the memories of Jim and his service to our country.
