Susie was so many things that I don't know where to start.
She loved being silly, to the point that she and Lea Ellen Campbell invented their own language. She set goals and never wavered, especially on becoming a doctor like her father. She never understood why so many people found "Sukunya Ingkanisorn" hard to pronounce.
Susie was incredibly smart but still felt compelled to study harder than anyone else I knew. She loved her little brother and sister, and loved the Celtics, too. She got a kick out of being able to talk to her mother about me in Thai, knowing that I had no idea what was going on. She adored both "Crime and Punishment" and her red Camaro. She always made time to help other people.
Susie achieved her goal of becoming a doctor. She married and had two cute little boys. She kept on making time to help others. She will be missed.
I dreamt about Susie this week. I dreamt it was reunion time and we met at the reunion. She was as nice in my dream as I remember her from HS. It's hard to believe she's no longer with us.
I had the honor of knowing Susie since first grade - and attending the same classes all the way to High School - she was a class act, kindhearted, hard working and mature beyond her age. The world has lost a kind soul, way too soon.
