I remember the great homeroom we had for our three years at MHS:  Laurie, Kathy Upchurch, Joan Leland, Wayne Ackerman, Freddie Royal, Howard Master, Dave Rosenberg. Miss all of you. JS

I was fortunate to maintain contact with Laurie  until her death. She was a special lady and very dear to me. She developed Parkinson's disease late in life and put up a tremendous fight to overcome it. She raised two daughters whom both became doctors.

I'm pretty sure that Laurie passed away in 2000 as I gave a tribute to her at our 50th Reunion in 2001.  I too loved the talented and vivacious Laurie.  We kept in touch and she visited us with her sister at our home in Chapel Hill a few years before her death.  She fought to the end and I miss her still today.

I remember how friendly she was.  Always kind.  Never snubbish like some others.

Laurie Kenney, Jolene Klein and I were great friends at MHS. Jolene and I went to school together from First to Twelfth grade and lived in the same neighborhood. I also remember Laurie as one of the best gals I knew. Great sense of humor. I wish I could find the picture I had of her at Rat Week our freshman year at FSU. Great memories and she is missed.
