Bill Skor's family lived next door to us and when I saw him at the 2006 reunion, I immediately recognized him.

SKOR, WILLIAM J. (BILL), 67, of Miami, FL, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 17, 2011. He was a long-time resident of Miami, graduating first in his class at the University of Miami in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and also received a Masters Degree from the College for Pharmacy from the University of Florida, where he again was first in his class. Bill worked for more than 45 years as a pharmacist in Miami, serving customers who so adored him and his care that they would ask for him personally. He also devoted his life to caring for his mother, Esther, from the time he began working in Miami until her passing in 2005. Bill enjoyed many hobbies, most notably photography, and his large group of close friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, particularly at birthday and holiday celebrations he took great pride in organizing. Bill is survived by his devoted brother Richard Skor (Susan) of Miami, FL and sister, Diane Ferdie née Skor (late Ronald) of Tucson, AZ; his uncle, Dr. Maurice Blinksi of Tamarac, FL; nephews and nieces, Moreen Ferdie of Tucson, AZ; Pamela Parks née Ferdie (Jay) of Seattle, WA; Michael Ferdie (Deborah) of Pasadena, CA; Larry Skor (Jennifer) of Weston, CT; Michael Skor (fiancé Carrie Vandiver) of Sherman Oaks, CA, and Steven Skor (Lauren) of Dunwoody, GA. He is also survived by nine great nephews and nieces, many cousins, and other family members and friends, all of whom will greatly miss him. Chapel services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 10:30AM at Riverside Gordon Chapel at Mt. Nebo Kendall, 5900 SW 77 Ave., Miami, FL (305) 274-0641 with interment to follow at Mt. Nebo Miami 5505 NW 3rd St., Miami, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in his memory to a charity of choice. View this Guest Book at www.
