LOPEZ, Joaquin R. Jr.
Joaquin has joined the Angels in the presence of God as he peacefully passed away on September 9, 2004, at the age of 35. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly, and her two lovely daughters, Kristin (18) and Katherine (13), whom he cherished as his own. Always loved by his parents Joaquin and Delia (Neyda), Junior was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, on November 14, 1968. A die-hard Raiders fan, Junior has not missed a home game since they returned to Oakland. Hard working and energetic, Joaquin had the ability to make everyone laugh with his jokes and sense of humor. Junior will be remembered as a gentle and peace-loving person who had no trouble in making friends and sharing his love unconditionally. His sister Neyda and other numerous family members and friends will truly miss our beloved son, husband and friend, Junior. Visitation will be at Higgins Chapel, 1310 A Street, Antioch, CA 94509. On Tuesday, Sept. 14, between 5:00-8:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM. Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Church, 5562 Clayton Rd., Clayton, CA 94517, on Wed., Sept. 15 at 11:00 AM. A celebration of Junior's life will follow at the St. Bonaventure Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a Trust Fund at any Washington Mutual Bank (Trust fund in the name of Debra Johnson) for the education of Kristin and Katherine.
