Jeffrey J. Cizek, age 38, died unexpectedly from a ruptured aneurysm on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1971, in Milwaukee, the son of James and Loretta (Luce) Cizek. After graduating from Middleton High School in 1989, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Jeff was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jennifer Shaub on June 26, 1999, at Hope Lutheran in Cottage Grove. Jeff successfully established his own business, Advantage Painting, which he still operated. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Jeff had a fondness for sports, but treasured most the time he spent being a "Daddy" to his children, and a great friend to his family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Jennifer and their children Allison and Brady; his parents, James and Loretta Cizek; a sister, Suzanne (David) Little and their children Austin and Nicholas; maternal grandparents, Allen (Mary) Luce; mother and father-in-law, Russ (Jane) Shaub; two brothers-in-law, John (Jen) Shaub and son Jordan, and Dave (Virginia) Shaub and their children Anna and Peyton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Esther Cizek.
Funeral services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7291 County Highway PD, Verona at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, with the Rev. Timothy Nybroten presiding. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their sympathy may wish to consider a donation for a Cizek children's memorial fund to be established at M and I Bank in Jennifer's name.
"Jeff was a devoted Daddy who brought great joy to his family and friends during his short life and he will be deeply missed. There are no Goodbyes, we will carry you in our hearts forever."
