Scott D. Miller, 52, of Toms River, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was born and raised in Midland Park in Bergen County, a former resident of Waretown before settling into Toms River the last couple of years.

Scott is leaving behind a daughter, Melissa Miller; a brother, Glenn Miller; and his mother, Doris DeVries of Fort Pierce, Fla. Scott also has a loving extended family of dear friends and co-workers.

Scott was a talented athlete in his youth, playing basketball, football and baseball. He later carried on his passion for sports coaching basketball and softball for several years. He was also was a passionate NY Jets and NY Yankees fan.
