We are deeply sorry to report the passing of our friend Sal. He was a good man and the best friend anyone could have. He passed on 11/29/08..survived by his wife Sandy and his brother Russ, class of 1975.
Sal taught me about Fast cars with safe driving, Passion and Laughter at Life's lessons. I have such Positive Memories as he has made a difference in my life from our fine friendship in school.
Sal (Sandy as I knew him from 2nd grade into my early 20's) had a major influence on me as a kid and close friend of his little brother Russ (Rusty) growing up. We all as younger guys looked up to Sal in the neighborhood and beyond. He influence us in a wonderful way. He influenced the way and how we all played sports, the music he turn us on to and listened to (still to this day), the cars we liked and so much more. I truly believe, if the world had more Sal Avarella's in it, it would be a much better place.
