Randell Reddell Obituary

Randell (Randy) Alan Reddell, of New Braunfels, passed away on August 24, 2015. Randy was born on April 28, 1955 in Big Spring, Texas to Ike and Jean (Jenkins) Reddell. Growing up in Midland, Randy played high school football. He was a member of the wrestling team at Southwest Texas State University and later enjoyed playing the sport of Polo at different venues across the state and bare-foot skiing on Lake Dunlap. Through the years, Randy has made many lasting and meaningful friendships. As a resident of New Braunfels for over 20 years, Randy owned a number of different businesses. One of these was a medical supply company that was owned and operated by him and his wife, Dea. Upon retiring from numerous business ventures, Randy and Dea would often spend time in Jamaica, one of their favorite vacation spots. Randy loved life and loved God. He looked forward to his Friday morning men's group at Oakwood. He was such an inspiration to so many during his five-year battle with Dystonia. You would rarely find Randy without a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. Randy was predeceased by his parents, Ike and Jean Reddell; and his son, Ike Marshal Reddell. Survivors include his loving wife, Dea; his children, Olivia Baker of Austin, Kelcie Reddell of Austin, and Whitley Reddell of New Braunfels; daughter-in-law, Nikki Barnett of New Braunfels; and nine beautiful grandchildren. Also surviving Randy are his brothers, Rusty Reddell of Waco, and Ryan Reddell of Midland; his sisters, Reda Reddell of Midland, and Risa Reddell of Roswell, New Mexico; his step-father, John Green of Hewitt; along with several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Randy has been planned at Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels, Texas on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Ray Still will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oakwood Baptist Church or The American Dystonia Society.
