Bronwen C. Barber passed from this life on September 17, 2007 at the age of 41. She passed away in her home surrounded by her children. Bronwen was born in Dallas on May 10, 1966. Her parents, Glenn and Bonnie Barber, preceded her in death.
Bronwen grew up in Midlothian, graduating from Midlothian High School with honors. She attended Eastfield Collage and worked 18 years with Lockheed Martin. She loved science, history, astronomy and was an avid Tom Petty fan. Bronwon was known for her contagious laugh, bright smile, sweet disposition and her love for animals. She worked with the Richardson Humane Society for five years as a foster parent for rescued cats and dogs in hopes of finding them adoptive homes.
Survivors include daughter Bonnie Logan of Dallas; son Andrew Logan and girlfriend Rachel Hunter of Dallas; niece Laura Graham and her beloved pets: Eddie, Sky, Max and Callie.
Bronwen's love for science and belief in medicine influenced her choice to donate her body for cancer research.

I found this on the Richardson Human Society web site:Richardson Humane Society lost Bronwen Barber, a remarkable volunteer, to Breast Cancer in 2007 Bronwen had the “Heart of a Rescuer.” She was always one of the first to respond when we sent out a request for a foster for a particular dog. Even during her Chemo her response was “the kids and I will take this one.” We have been trying to think of a way RHS could honor her memory. We pay tribute to Bronwen by honoring another foster with the Bronwen Barber Heart of a Rescuer Award. Choosing one person was difficult because each Foster Parent has a heart for rescue. Our honoree started fostering in 2002 soon after adopting a dog from RHS. At the time she was a
busy single mom of two teenagers, working full time. She, like Bronwen always has room when there is a special dog in need. At the present time she has two puppies recovering from surgery for broken bones. We are pleased to honor Glenda Rampy with the Bronwen Barber Heart of a Rescuer Award.

She was an awesome person with an awesome laugh. Luckily we got to spend time with Bronwen before she passed and she was so strong. I truly admire her. From Pam McDowra and Lori Cathy She is missed...
