Hello? Anybody?

10/03/08 07:44 PM #1734

Stephen Vincent

I'm ready for book club.

Melissa Barwick (Peck)

Hi Steve, I am reading brissinger right now, very good. it is the third book in the eragon series.

Timing? I disagree. It's funny that in the middle of summer a LOT of us found ourselves here several nights a week, when we could've been doing other things. Now, school is the excuse. LAME. Only a few here are actually IN school and as far as I'm concerned, the kids do their own homework. I get my points across with my son and his homework, but it's HIS to do, not mine. I just keep finding that coming here is a total waste of time that could be better spent picking my nose or some other worthwhile event. Nobody is ever here. This is dead, despite what you (Angela and Steve) have both said. You both are very rarely here yourselves.

Until I'm proven wrong, then I believe this to be fact.

It's not that I am casting anyone aside, but I feel that it's me and this forum that have been cast aside. Maybe I was putting too much into this and my reconnections and maybe it was all just BS to let other people feel like they were part of something. I just don't know. All I know is that I don't like the dive this forum has taken. So much for staying close, like we all claimed we would...

Craig,

I'm not going to go into why I haven't been on the forum as much as I was before the reunion. Doesn't sound like it would matter to you anyway. You seem to have your mind made up.
It also sounds like you are taking it very personal. Even though I don't understand that, I am sorry that you feel that way. I have always enjoyed chatting with you!

Craig, I will tell you one opinion that I have. The continued posts complaining about things are not inviting for people to participate. Being abrasive, arguing, and generally a "glass half empty" attitude, is no fun for anyone. This is just my opinion. If this forum is going to be a place of tension, then I won't be participating.

A LOT of us are staying connected on a daily basis since the reunion. Facebook has proved to be a great medium for that. If I remember, you are very resistant to joining in for some reason?

Again Craig, I enjoy chatting with you and consider you a good friend! Have a nice Saturday and see ya around

Stephen Vincent

WOW!!! Sorry I missed you Melissa. How are you?

10/04/08 01:28 PM #1740

Tina Dumas (Finn)

Craig, Craig, Craig........we all love the forum. But you had to expect it to fade a little once the reunion was over. I love the forum as much as you do, and we will all still stay in touch on here!!!! Don't give up hope!

Steve D. is right. It is for fun! Not tension, or abrasive comments!!!! Let's have fun with it! Nobody cares about the previous posts you mentioned. That's in the past!

LETS HAVE SOME FUN!!!

Steve Vincent, so sorry I missed you! When is that baby boy due?

Nichole, yes, if you can tell me the dealer name of that commercial I will look it up on you tube!

Angie, how did the move go?

Melissa, how are you feeling girly? Hope all is well with you!

Dawn and I are migraine buddies!!!! LOL!

Hello Jack, I know you are out there!!!!!

Love to everyone!!!!!!

Shelly Mabey

Craig,

I'm sorry you feel that way. I have a hard time being on here when everyone else is. However, I jump on every few days at the very least to check in and see how everyone is doing. I always enjoy catching up even if I don't have the time to "chat".

Based on text messages, e-mails, and IM messages I receive about the posts, there are a lot of people doing the same thing.

Hopefully, everyone will continue to jump on and write a quick note every once in awhile. Personally I enjoy hearing about everyone.

Craig, you are also on my myspace page. If I write to you there, I never hear back from you. If you want to keep in touch, we have suggested multiple ways for you to stay in our lives. Please feel free to take us up on those offers. We do so because we welcome your friendship.

Craig,

I'm sorry you feel that way too but like Shelly I greatly value the old and new relationships that I have gained from the forum. I plan on keeping those relationships. I hope you will be one of them, however I don't feel anyone should have to justify why they are not on the forum as often. I really hope you don't take it all so personally and just have fun when you are on. Your envolvement on the forum in the past has really been a lot of fun and I have enjoyed it. I hope you can let this not participating stuff go and move on.

This is probably as personal as I will ever get. The real estate market is tanking so I am now employed, I have been fighting mono for a year, I have two kids, school and sports have started, and I am really tired all of the time. YA,YA POOR ME. I am not complaining, so many others have it worse. I keep my head up and try to be as happy as possible. I have had fun, and will continue to, with the site. I am glad to have friends to talk to. xoxox Nichole

Tina Dumas (Finn)

Nichole, best of luck to you. So sorry to hear you are ill. Life is full of ups and downs. It is all about the right attitude and loved ones to see you through. Keep your chin up and take each day one by one. I hope you feel better soon! I think you are a doll!!!!

So, did everyone have a good weekend? The weather was BEAUTIFUL here! So glad to be out of the triple digits!!! We did some BBqing with friends, some bowling with the kids.....I finally broke 100 and scored a 137!!! Yeah for me!!!! (hey, that is good considering my usual score is in the 80's......LOL!!!!!

Is anyone out there tonight?

10/06/08 12:06 AM #1745

Hi Ya'll,

Have you noticed people are taking pictures off the sight and taking profiles off as well. Why??? Am I missing something??? Good to see you guys are still here though!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!! No Baby yet!

10/06/08 08:56 PM #1748

Tina Dumas (Finn)

Hi Steve!

I have noticed that! I don't understand either? Some people are just now getting on the site that missed the reunion. Now they won't get to see so many of the profiles that we were able to enjoy. I plan to keep updating mine with pictures. Hope you will as well!

Steve when is your son due? I can't wait to see a picture of him. Your girls were so adorable at the reunion picnic!!!!! Hope your wife is doing well and keep us posted on his arrival!

Ok, I'll make today's lone post. "Hello" to all that aren't posting...

10/09/08 07:17 PM #1753

Tina Dumas (Finn)

Hi Susan, Hi Craig!

Hello everyone! Hope all is well.

So my husband belongs to a corvette forum, and they would pick a topic and people would leave comments on the subject when they could, and sometimes the topic would go for days.....so, any ideas on a topic?

Politics? NO don't get me started.....

How about favorite high school teacher? Or favorite story or memory from high school?

Here is a memory of mine......remember the really cool teacher with the long pony tail? I can't think of his name. During one of the pep rallys if someone made a half court shot he would be able to cut his pony tail off! Does anyone remember that? I remember screaming! NO, don't! ( I have always loved long hair)
Anyway, I can't remember if they actually cut it off? Did they? Does anyone remember?

(Does this count as a memory if I can't remember the ending......LOL)

10/10/08 09:05 PM #1754

Angela Tidwell (Hasenberg)

Great idea, Tina!~ I know who you mean...wasn't that teacher Mr Hansley? or something like that...I remember the pep assembly..I want to say he kept his hair...but I could be wrong!

My favorite highschool teacher..hands down..Sue Malone..she's the principal there now, and she is and was just plain awesome.

One of my favorite highschool memories involves the Tide is High dance we did in drill team..we wore mermaid costumes and had long blonde wigs. After one competiton, Marcy Rose and I rode home with Kris Jespersen (Brett's older sister) and another girl down State Street. We kept the wigs on because we were awesome(lol) and had more attention while wearing those wigs than any other time combined! so funny!

Another memory is with Melissa Barwick Peck and Wendy Stock..we drove down 7th E all the time to get to Xenon..one time we saw some guy and yelled out our favorite "hey, where ya going?" and they would answer..and then we would say "meet ya there!" totally stupid but we thought we were hysterical. We actually ended up talking to this guy and had him convinced that we lived in a commune with out parents and our true names were Earth, Wind and Fire. awesome.

Now I will spend some time thinking about memories of highschool where I was actually in the building....

Angie!!!

Thanks for sharing!!!! Fun times. I have LOTS of stories of State Street! I got all my speeding and parking tickets up there!!!! Speeding tickets in a MAVERICK!!!! LOL!!!!

I think you are right on the teachers name Hansley? That sounds right.

My favorite teacher was probably Janeen MacMillan. That was a fun class Jack you were in that class with me weren't you?

My gymnastics coach MIchelle Bosco was a great coach, but she didn't know what to think of me after she caught me smoking behind the school! LOL

Hope your move went well! How are you handling the instant cold?

Hope others will join and share stories!

Happy Friday night everyone!!!!! TGIF!!!!!!!!!!

10/11/08 12:38 AM #1756

Dawn Banta (Christensen)

Nichole...I wish I could share my favorite story...but it involves you and I can't do it without your permission....LOL!!!
