In Memory

Dawn McKinley (Morgan)

Dawn Eilene McKinley Morgan

Left this world a little less bright when she passed away January 15, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas, due to complication from Leukemia, after she underwent a successful second bone marrow transplant.

Dawn was perfectly named. She was the calm silence that ushered in the warm sunshine of each new day. Born in California, Dawn spent her formative years in Utah, where she graduated from Hillcrest High School and worked in sales for several years. In search of new adventures, Dawn moved to Chicago for a time and then relocated to the much more temperate town of Austin, Texas. It was there she met her husband Larry and married April 27, 2002.
Dawn always thought of others before herself and demonstrated that by focusing on the positive in people. She showed a strength and determination in life that has amazed all who knew her. What she silently taught us will forever impact how we view the world and family. Her warm hugs and kind heart will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Larry, stepdaughter Tara, mother and father Maxine McKinley, Don McKinley, stepmother Peggy, Sister Jody Plummer, Brothers Mark, Paul, Steve, Grant, David, Bobby Soles, Stacey Mantle, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Dawn, as you are the first to leave us, we find great joy knowing that you will be the first face we see when we meet again.
