I remember Ross from Spring Valley school 4th grade. Mild mattered like his father the doctor. So sorry life is sooooo short. Rest in peace brother. Very intelligent & great at tennis. I didn't find out about How good Ross was at tennis until I was going back to college at Skyline in 2011 & my former classmate was my PE coach, Mike Fitzgerald with pictures of Ross on his bulletin board in Mikes office.... Small world. Sad to find out this way. Life has become to busy & I miss the good ole days when life was much slower & friends got together for visiting.... Prayers for you & Family Ross.
Ross was a good friend and I convinced him to join the tennis team when we were freshmen. That turned out to be a great deecision for both him and Mills as he ended up #1 on the team and very successful. An extrememly smart guy who went on to a PHd. We had many mild adventures during the Mills years. The most exciting was making hot air ballons out of dry cleaner suit bags, balsa wood frames and birthday cake candles. We finally enhanced our design to include magnesium strips from the chemistry lab which would light from the burning candles and produce a brilliant flash. When we notcied the burning embers landing on people's roofs, we transferred from the basball field at Mills to coyote point beach. Another good friend gone on. RIP, Ross.
Remembering when Ross would meet me at Spring Valley to fly our control line model planes. Nobody ever called to complain about how noisy it was. We took turns launching, flying and trying not to loose a finger starting those little engines. Those were the good old days before video games and cell phones. Miss those innocent days with friends like Ross. Peace be with you old friend 💙☮️
Heartfelt condolences and prayers to all his family and friends 🙏🏼
Ross was such a nice person, full of smiles and laughter. He seemed to be the same guy, with all of his many achievements and successes, since Spring Valley Elementary School, in the best way! I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, much too soon. Rest in Peace.
Ross was a fantastic tennis player at Mills. One of the highlights of my life was playing him in singles after I played #1 at Skyline College in a Millbrae tournament. Ross beat me 6-0 6-0 in high school, but I lost to him
7-5 6-3 and was so glad I was that close. I saw Ross at the reunions and was so glad to know he was a christian who had a strong faith in Jesus. For those of us who believe that is the most important thing in life.
"Well done thy good and faithful servant" Ross thanks for sharing your faith with me.
Of course Ross's dad was our doctor, and I met Ross in Mr. Broz's 6th grade class at Highlands. Ross was always one of the nicer boys in school. At one of our class reunions a few years ago, I mentioned I'd been struggling with my house a little, no money and no help. Ross, after calling his wife and telling her he was going to a woman's home, came over and attacked my yard and vines, completing about 3 days work in a few hours. I learned that he'd been helping seniors with similar things for quite some time. He was one of those people who walked the walk, quietly, and while taking very little credit. A good person, through and through. And a delightfully wry sense of humor. His memory is most definitely a blessing, and his passing a hard one.
Ross was a super nice guy and very smart as well! He and his sister went to my church in Millbrae .... Their mother was the best greeter / always a big smile ! She and my mother were very close friends....
His father had been my physician from about 7 years on to 16! Wonderful man - so it's no surprise that Ross was the genuine gentleman that he became ! Very sad a disease took his life too early ! Condolences to his family and loved ones ! I will miss seeing him in the future !!
So sorry to learn about Ross's passing and battle with cancer. He was such a nice guy. I remember being buddies in maths class and I'm pretty sure he joined in with a number of us who sewed peace doves onto the back of our graduation gowns to express our opposition to the Vietnam war which was a hot issue at the time. It's lovely to see that some of you kept in touch with him; thanks for sharing your heart-warming glimpses of the man he became. My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace, Ross.
So sad to hear. Great guy and sense of humor.
My first recollection of Ross was at his mom's weekly bible classes when we were about 8 years old..
Ross and I were by far the youngest members and we bonded for support.
His favorite pastime was to get me to laugh durring serious
moments of the class. The one that got to me the most
was after prayer songs he would add, where only I could hear, "Un cha Cha Cha" with pizazz.
Still makes me laugh to this day.
Appreciate you and all of our history. I am sure you are in heaven where you belong and giving God a good laugh
