In Memory

Randy Childers

Randy Childers died on 2/6/2010 after a 13 month battle against colon cancer. He was living in Ethelsville, AL at the time of his death.  He is survived by his wife, Kris, daughter Raven Childers,  son, Neil Childers, two grandchildren, and two sisters. He is also survived by too many friends to name.   Memorials for Randy were held on 2/13/10 in Ethelsville, AL and on 2/20/10 in Milton, FL.  Prior to Randy's illness, he was the owner of a construction company in Ft. Morgan, AL.  Randy and his family had formerly been in the business of raising catfish at their North Central Alabama farm.  Prior to that, Randy worked in the North Sea as an electrician on various oil production platforms.  A former college football player at Livingston University (now University of West Alabama), Randy lived an adventurous life and will be missed by his family and many friends.  Always ready for a party, one of Randy's last requests was for his family and friends to have a shot of Captain Morgan's rum for him.  Due to his belief in God, I am sure Randy is in heaven today, free of pain and suffering.
