Dale Edward Miller age 72 of West Bend, WI died on May 14, 2026 at his home. He was born on January 18th, 1954, to Hugh and Grace Miller of Jefferson, North Carolina. He attended Ashe Central High School until moving to Milwaukee Wisconsin where he attended his junior and senior years at Custer High school in Milwaukee and graduated in 1

Dale married Marilyn Koch from Milwaukee on August 5th, 1972. Dale, Marilyn, and their son Jason moved to Boltonville, WI area in 1978. In 1979 Dale started West Bend Fence Company and in 1981 he started A-1 Pools. In 1988 he and Marilyn moved the business from their home to its current location of 1168 N. Main Street in West Bend. They incorporated both businesses, and it became West Bend Fence/ A-1 Pools, Inc. Their son Jason returned to the family business in the year 2001 and was general manager and Vice President until Jason and his wife Becky purchased the business from Dale in 2017. Dale remained working part time in the business until his death. Dale enjoyed working outdoors and always strived to providing his customers with quality materials and workmanship. He always tried to instill the standards of honesty and quality to his employees. He strived to have satisfied customers which helped the business grow to where it is today. Dale was a man of his word. He enjoyed working alongside his son and daughter-in-law and their other employees in the busines

Dale enjoyed watching football, boxing, car racing along with fishing, bow hunting and playing basketball with his grandsons. He also enjoyed attending his grandson's baseball games and watching them grow up to be fine young men. He was very proud of his son and his fami

He was preceded in death by both parents and his ex wife Marilyn. He is survived by his son Jason Miller and daughter in-law Becky Miller (Szopa) of West Bend, WI, an older brother Earl Miller of North Wilkesboro North Carolina and his sister-in-law LeAnn, an older sister Dianna Shumate (Miller) & brother-in-law Rick Shumate of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, and a younger brother Roger Miller of San Marcos, California, one granddaughter Sarah Miller, two grandsons Bradly Miller & Nathan Miller all from West Bend.
