David A. Matz (1961)

Once I got past his humble, but intimidating schloarship, learning Latin was actually enjoyable. He was a first-rate person and teacher.  I didn't appreciate the depth of our teachers until after graduation.  I will never forget him.

Nancy A. Penn (Nagy) (1968)

 He was an inspiration and a great teacher. I enjoyed taking year after year of Latin because he made it interesting and fun!
