Barbara A. Anstey Notice

Anstey, Barbara A. (Nee Buechner) Of Hartland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the age of 70. She was born October 9, 1946 to parents Mildred Altrude "Mickey" and Roland Arthur "RA" Buechner. She was raised in Milwaukee and spent summers growing up on Moose Lake. Hartland was her home for most of her adult life and she enjoyed getting to know almost everyone! Barb began working at Rogers Memorial Hospital at age 15 assisting patients with gym activities and swimming. She worked at JC Penneys, Brookfield Square for many years, and began her banking career at M&I Bank in Hartland. She worked for the past 15 years at Town Bank in Delafield and then at the Hartland location. Known for her sense of humor and quick wit, customers would wait in line just to see her! She was an active member of Kettle Moraine United Presbyterian Church, Stone Bank for many years, serving on numerous committees, playing hand bells, singing in the choir and playing on the softball and dartball teams. She also sang in the choir at St. Charles Catholic Church, Hartland. Her love of sports and games along with her competitive nature brought out the best in everyone. She enjoyed golf, ping pong, swimming, softball, volleyball, dart ball, sailing, boating, playing cards and her very favorite ... floating on her raft on Moose Lake. She enjoyed animals, nature and pets, a good joke and a good party. Her love of life was contagious and she often said "Aren't we lucky!" Surviving are her three wonderful children Tracy (Tim) Redman, Mike Anstey, Holly (John) Landry, siblings Bill (Jan) Buechner, Susan Shultis and Mary Buechner, numerous nieces and nephews, her former husband Jeff Trapp and an endless number of friends and acquaintances she made smile just by being Barb. Preceded in death by her parents Mickey and RA, and former husband Dwight "Deacon" Anstey. A Celebration of Barb's life will take place on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 4:00 PM until Funeral Services at 7:00 PM at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home. Final rest will be in the Gardens of Stone Bank Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to Angels Grace Hospice. Thank you to the many family and friends that gathered at the cottage on Moose Lake and Hasslingers over the years to create the wonderful memories that will be cherished for years to come..."Aren't we lucky!!!" Yes indeed!
