James Bitney - Class Of 1950 VIEW PROFILE

Bitney, James C. Jim went Home on December 15, 2017 at the age of 85 after battling multiple health issues over the last 3 years. James was born in Milwaukee on May 4th, 1932 to Earl and Marie Bitney. He grew up in Parklawn with his brother Tom and sister Nancy and graduated from Washington High School. Jim worked at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance company for 43 years as a Systems Analyst - one of their seven initial programmers. There he met his lovely wife, June and they were married for 62 years. He was a long standing, involved member of Atonement Lutheran Church and joined Pilgrim church 2 years ago. He was a proud Korean War veteran and loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, the Packers, playing cards and being the life of the party. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife June, children Sue (Ed) Jessen, Doug (Beth) Bitney, and Dianne (Dave) Ruegg, grandchildren Jim (Mary) Jessen, Matt (Caitlin) Jessen, Jackie (fiance Dave) Jessen, Jack Bitney, Lauren and Carter Ruegg, sister Nancy (Bill) Johnson, brother Tom and many friends. He had a strong faith and is now singing with the Lord's choir. Memorial service will be held Weds. December 20, 2017 at Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls located at W156 N5436 Bette Drive. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m until time of service at 11:30 a.m. In Lieu of flowers Memorials to: Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church or Honor Flight, Inc.
