Rob was our trombone player in the 1990 KIDS band. He was a great player and an insipring composer. He loved Joe Sample! He wanted to write music like that! Rob passed away from a freak accident related to a medical condition during the middle of tour that summer. I remember coming back from a short 2 day break and we were gathering in the old Youth Building getting ready for a 3 day run out. Our staff did all they could to comfort us and give us the courage to continue the tour. It was a hard run knowing that Rob was not going to be with us. We were happy to welcome back Steve Haines on board for the rest of the tour. We attended his funeral and dedicated the remaining shows to his memory. Rob was a good friend and a joy to be around. He will always be a great KID! Peace to you my band brother! WE miss you and I look forward to seeing you again real soon!
