What I remember most about Joe was his incredible smile, We spent so many days laughing and shooting hoops. We were more than friends, we were college roommates, traveling mates, fellow Kids, He had a great talent  to make me smile, that I still miss today. Joe I hope I will be sitting next to you in the next choir, I miss you man!  Dennis Sciortino

Kim Goff (Gregory) (1982)

Joe was my big brother and preceded me in Kids by 2 years. After Kids, he worked summers for the Dells Boat Company, giving tours on the Wisconsin Dells river boats. He would always end his tour singing the Carl Burnett song, "I'm So Glad We Had This Time Together, still loving to entertain! We had just begun to grow into an adult sibling relationship when he died so suddenly and tragically, just a few days after his 22nd birthday. I was 18 and in my first semester at school, attending UW-Milwaukee, where he was going to return to finish his senior year. He had had to take off the fall semester due to a serious bought of colitis. He died in November, on an early morning hunting trip with our brother-in-law and a family friend. Our family, and many of you, were devastated. Joey was a light and blessing in our family, the only boy out of five children, and such fun! It is so strange to have lived to be so much older than he ever was, yet, in my mind he is still my big brother, still encouraging me (and sometimes laughing at me 😊) from above. Joe, I'm so glad we had this time together! A presto!
