Dennis was a good friend during our two years at Sholes Junior High. I remember that Teachers would occaisionally mistake us as we looked like brothers. Since Dennis was often getting into mischief, I would suffer the teachers wrath until I pointed out that I wasn’t Dennis. It seems funny now, but wasn’t at the time.

Rumor has it, that Dennis committed suicide after returning from Vietnam. I am not sure if this has been confirmed.

I sure hope it isn't true that he committed suicide but it's understandable. There was next to no help available for the returning soldiers with what we now know was PTSD. My brother was a year older than me and when he returned from Vietnam he was "a little messed up" (PTSD) and had access to a gun. He went to the VA where he was locked in for a bit. Then they gave him tranquilizers and sent him home. The lack of treatment sickens me. He died in 85 (Agent Orange).

I kinda remember Dennis. I'm also a Nam Vet. Lost a lot of my Brothers in Arms to that War and aftermath of War. We all came back with a lot of Ghosts. Praise the LORD my ghost are finally gone. Took a long time and 3 Marriages. My Prayers go out to Dennis's Family. MAY HIS SOUL BE AT TOTAL REST WITH OUR LORD.
