Jon Charles Bell
Bell, Jon Charles 76, of Bloomington, MN passed away peacefully Oct. 27, 2018 surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer. A wonderful husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. Jon is survived by his loving wife of 50 yrs, Linda, son, Chris (Kim) Bell, daughter, Sarah (Attilla) Katona, and grandsons: Charles, Nicholas, Kotona, and Edward Bell, brother, Robert (Linda) Bell; sister, Barbi (Richie Swanson) Bell, and many relatives and friends. Proud graduate of DeLasalle High School and the U of M. He worked at the US Bank, formerly First Bank for 35 yrs. jon enjoyed his family the most and watching his grandchildren play sports. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Nativity of Mary (9900 Lyndale Ave. S., Bloomington) with visitation one hour before the service. Jon, Our friendship started with basketball in the 8th grade but for different schools: Visitiation vs St Albert the Great. That year we split the two big tournaments and by the same score. St Al's won the Incarnation Tourney and Visitation won the DLS tourney. I remember both, one more fondly than the other! And our friendship continued on the DLS basketball court as well as freshman home room. While we have not connected much in recent years, I often think of those times fondly. Rest in Peace, my friend.
