New Brighton, MN - Gary passed away on April 24th, 2025 at the age of 83. He was born to Margaret and Arnt Grendahl of North Minneapolis on March 30th, 1942.

Gary was a student at St Bridget's grade school, De La Salle high school and the University of St. Thomas. He served in the US Army from 1963 to 1966 as a statistician at the G1, Fort Dix, NJ and was in charge of Top Secret Control at Head Quarters, United States Army in Heidelberg, Germany. He graduated with a BA in Economics and earned designations of Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Registered Investment Advisor. He was also the Treasurer for one year and President for five years at Windsor Green Association in New Brighton.

Gary enjoyed being a pilot and had a farm in Clear Lake Wisconsin for twenty years.

He was the annual class coordinator of St. Bridget's class of '56 and De La Salle class of '60.

He had a brother Dennis, deceased and is survived by sisters Mary DuPont, Nancy Huntley, Diane Stoddard (Jim) , Jeanne Lechner (Ed), his partner Jan Graves of 15 years, daughter Anne Bolton (Bob) and son Daniel with grandchildren Emily and Aidan, as well as grand dogs Zeus, Leo and Odin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist in New Brighton on May 19th at 11am and the burial will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery on May 20th at 9am.

We will always cherish our memories of Gary and he will be in our hearts forever.
