John was a hero pilot in Vietnam. He spent his last years as a flight instructor at Peter O. Knight airport in Tampa. He and a student tragically died when the small plane they were in crashed just off airport property. John was a superbly nice gentleman, outstanding pilot/instructor and most importantly and loving and devoted husband and father. It was an honor to have known John. Semper Fi.
