Martin, Ronald G. 68, of Turtle Lake, WI died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at his home. He was born September 27, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN to Howard and Josephine (Orbeck) Martin. Ron graduated from De La Salle High School in 1960 and from the University of Minnesota in 1970 with distinction. He was a member of Pi Tau Sigma. Ron married Lucille Nelson in her hometown of Belgrade, Minnesota on February 26, 1966. He began his career in engineering at Rosemount Engineering in the early 1970s. He later joined ADC Telecommunications in Bloomington, where he worked for more than 20 years; he left as VP of Quality Assurance. In 1995, Ron and Lucy moved to Turtle Lake and Ron began working for Durex Products, where he served as President for ten years. He retired in December 2007. He is survived by his wife, Lucy, of Turtle Lake; 1 daughter, Samantha Martin (daughter, Kelsie) of Mound, MN; 2 sons, Robert Martin of Minneapolis, MN and Peter (wife, Stephanie and son, Axel) Martin of Eagan, MN; honorary son, Jeremy Bishop of Minneapolis, MN; and 1 sister, Judy Beard (husband, Jeff Anderson); nephew, Matt Beard of Apple Valley, MN and special brother-in-law/friend, Jim Nelson of Rice Lake. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Robert. Memorial services will be held at Skinner Funeral Home-Turtle Lake, WI at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 11, 2010 with Rev. Mike Vetsch officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Friday and one hour prior to service on Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements were handled by Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake.
