What have you been doing since graduation? This information may be used to create a directory to share at the reunion:
Between my sophomore year and my junior year, the school district caught up with me as I was not cuuently living in the SW district. I started my junior year at Washburn, ran into some issues at home and got behind a bit in credits. Summer school followed my junior year and I actually graduated from Park Center in Brooklyn Park. In 1994, I enlisted in the Marine Corps for five years. (Traded all that long hair in for a shaved head and haven't looked back!) That launched me into a career of aviation maintenace and led me to my current position as a contractor working on Army Helicopters in Germany for the last two years. I still have a home in MN. When I was not working, I was dirt bike riding when I could. I got into some recreational mountain bike racing for a couple years in MN. I rekindled a passion for hockey I never realized I had until later in life. I play the drums when I can. I managed to play in a couple bands here and there when I returned home from the service in 2000. The longest lasting was for two years. As much as I avoided activities in High School, I have since made up for in my later years. I of course was required to run while in the service and found that I was not bad. Couple that with my bike riding and add some time in a pool and I have done two unique triathlons over the last 6 years. One was off-road, and the other was a 10 hour triathlon, where my total distance was just shy of an ironman. Not bad for deciding within a months time to participate.
Being in Germany and near the Alps, I have taken up Snowboarding and am absolutely spoiled each time I go out. I bought a Downhill mountain bike this year to further take advantage of my surroundings.
Looking back on my service enlistment and my time here in Europe, I have managed to cover alot of ground on this planet, at least from a 'places visited' on a map standpoint. Sometimes I just have to sit back and realize how lucky and fortunate I have been. Living the dream for now and taking it a week at a time to see what life has to offer...
(This is of course a condensed version, I can be found on Facebook where there is additional info and alot of pictures of my recent travels)
